The annual Eric O’Connor Cup was played at Stradbrook yesterday. This festival is played to honour the memory of Eric O'Connor, who was a member of the Blackrock College RFC U11's and a pupil of Willow Park School when he sadly passed away in January 2012. This year saw 48 teams from over 10 clubs in total playing in the festival at u11 and u12 ages, and all proceeds raised from the day will be donated to St John's Ward, Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin. Thank you to the organisers and participants, it was a brilliant day for a truly great cause.
