Last Friday, the Hall in Stradbrook turned into the Ally Pally for one night only hosting a fundraiser for the Club Tour to Uganda. There were competitors from the 20’s, Mens Senior Side, Club Members and even some local businesses and even more in attendance to enjoy the spectacle.
A knockout style format culminated in a final between Ernie “The Burger” O’ Brien from the U20’s squad versus Mens First XV Player Odhran “The Rocketman” Ring. “The Burger” showed his class and came out on top in a titanic tussle. Thank you to the Senior Social Team who organised the event, to all entertainment, most notably Daniel Barnett & Michael Jackson for their MC skills (and highly creative ways at generating money throughout the night) & last but not least all who bought tickets & entered into Raffle competitions on the night. A truly great night for a worthy cause.
The Dart Board may need to stay up in the club…!
