Following the disappointing news about the carpark plans, the mood around Stradbrook made a swift comeback with the success of the Ireland v Romania match viewing party on Saturday. We had around 50 kids and parents in-house, and all were thrilled to have some food and watch the match with friends and fellow supporters.
With this week's World Cup Match against Tonga on the 16th being later in the evening, we've decided to focus on the adults this time. We're offering food tickets for €15, plus get a pitcher of Asahi, the official beer of RWC2023, for just €20!
Come by the club early to catch our Senior Women take on Old Belvedere at 5pm in the WAIL season opener. The Senior Men will be away in Malahide earlier in the day for their last match of the senior league, and our 2nds will be taking on Enniscorthy at Alcast Park. We're hoping to have lots of players and supporters in-house for the Tonga match.
