J1's to Playoff v Mary's on Sunday

This Sunday, our Men’s 2nd squad will finally get to play their long awaited league playoff final at Templeville Road.

St Mary’s College RFC have been the only side to beat us this season in  who play in the Premier 2 Division of the Metropolitan league, and the margin has been minimal, so in reality for both sides, very few could be brave enough to call it.

The winner takes all, as the top tier in the Metropolitan League of the Premier 1 Division awaits the winners next year, facing the likes of Lansdowne, Trinity, Terenure, Clontarf, Barnhall, Wesley, and UCD.

Win, lose, or draw for either side, this has been a superb season as both Mary's and ourselves notably are also still featuring in the other Metropolitan Cup, having both made it to the semi-finals that are due to be held on Sunday, 14th April

Our opposition is our third Prem 1 side in a row--Wesley, having beaten both Lansdowne and Trinity so far.

We have a busy few weeks ahead, and the chance of bringing home some silverware this weekend has certainly created a buzz of excitement amongst the squad!

Hope to see you Saturday.
