Hello everyone,
Super Saturday passed and was a very successful day for the club. Our Men's First team won their top-of-the-table clash with Barnhall, and now swap positions with them 2 points ahead of Queen's with just 4 games remaining. It was also great to welcome back our captain Liam McMahon who has missed the last few weeks with injury. A very good crowd attended the lunch and the game afterwards despite the clash with the International in Rome. So it's all now set up for the game this weekend with Queen's, now in second place. A big crowd again is expected for the lunch so we are hoping it will be another successful day again in the club.
Immediately after the Men's game last Saturday, our Women took on Belvedere in a hard-fought game and emerged victorious. This also leaves them well-placed in their AIL cup campaign. So very much all to play for. They play this Saturday again in Stradbrook, after the men at 5.00 against a very strong UL Bohs team.
Our Under 20's continued their winning run last Sunday with a victory against Galwegians, which leaves them second in the table. They head to University of Galway next week.
Finally, our J1 Women didn't quite make it the perfect weekend, but they played well in their loss to Tullow on Sunday.
Again, thank you for all your support either on match day or via text/messages. They are all appreciated greatly.
Hopefully all see you next Saturday for what should be another great day of rugby in Stradbrook.
