Facing into a very strong wind in the A huge and well deserved congratulations to the victorious U14 squad who won the Leinster Premier League in Dr Hickey Park on Sunday.

Facing into a very strong wind in the first half, the Rock team conceded an early score but a great try by Harry Atkinson brought a bit an early balance to scoreboard. By half time, however, Rock were 5-16 down and 2 further tries gave BL what appeared to be an unassailable 5-26 lead.

With 22 minutes to go, what then followed was a display of character, composure, ferocious commitment, fantastic skill and determination... to score 22 unanswered points.

Expertly navigated around the pitch by fly half Ruari O’Donoghue with probing kicks, and a pack which rucked for their lives, the game concluded with a terrific crossfield kick and try in the corner from Conaill O’Suilleabhain.

Cue jubilant scenes at the final whistle and captain Nick Potter Cogan lifting the Leinster Premier Division trophy.

Well done to all the Lads on a brilliant campaign.
